Peter Ingram is not spectacular but is a good top order batsman, who toils hard for Central Districts in the domestic circuit. Twelve years after he earned a call up to represent New Zealand at the Under-19 level, Ingram was give his Tests, ODI and T20I debuts against the visiting Bangladesh in 2010. However, he failed to deliver the goods and was shunted down the pecking order before being dumped.
Interestingly he teaches technology at Hawera, Taranaki, when away from the game. With Ingram at the wrong end of his thirties now, a return to international cricket appears a difficult proposition.
